Richard Fienberg American Astronomical Society
The American Astronomical Society (AAS) Solar Eclipse Task Force will host a solar eclipse planning workshop Friday-Saturday, 9-10 June 2023, at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science, 1801 Mountain Road NW, Albuquerque, NM 87104.
The workshop will follow the 242nd AAS meeting, also to be held in Albuquerque. (If you wish to attend both events, you need to register for them separately.) The outreach team for NASA's PUNCH (Polarimeter to UNify the Corona and Heliosphere) mission is partnering with the task force to organize and implement the workshop.

The preliminary program is online, and registration is open! You may attend in person or virtually (via Zoom Events). Space for in-person registrants is limited, so don't delay. Registration rates: In-person (both days): $100; In-person (one day): $50; Virtual/remote: $35.
All registrants will receive a Zoom Events link, so even if you attend in person for just one day, you'll still have access to both days virtually. Registration deadline: 7 June 2023.
If you'd like to give a brief talk, review the program, then tell us which session you wish to contribute to and what you'd like to talk about. Talk proposal deadline: 28 April 2023.
Registered attendees are invited to submit PDF posters. These will be made available online for attendees to download and read. Poster submission deadline: 6 June 2023.

We have arranged for blocks of discounted rooms at two hotels within walking distance of the workshop. See the workshop web page for instructions on booking a room at the special rate and for updates on the workshop program.
Can't make it on 9-10 June? Our next workshop will be held in San Antonio, Texas, 29-30 September, right before the 55th annual meeting of the AAS Division for Planetary Sciences. More information about the San Antonio workshop will be available soon.
