Update Your Profile for the 2023 Membership Directory

A year goes by so quickly! It's time once again to review your information for the Society's print Membership Directory. This year we have a new "how-to" video to accompany our written update instructions below. We kindly ask that you review your information and set your listing and mailing preferences. Updates are due by Friday, 28 April.

The first step: go to my.aas.org and log in with your AAS username and password, then click on My Account along the top navigation bar. You’ll see several tabs. For Directory updating purposes, you’ll need the About Me and My Preferences tabs.

The next step: review your name, institution, address, phone number, and email on your About Me tab. These fields are in three different boxes on the page; click the pencil icon in the upper-right corner of each box to make your edits. Then click the orange Save button.

• Review your My Institution box. Your institution will be the second line in your directory listing. Please do not add your institution to the Addresses: Directory tab. Doing so will print your institution twice in the Directory and on mailed items.
• You can update your address, phone, and email in the Addresses: Directory and Home box. Make sure you have an email address entered in your Directory Address fields. The information listed here is critical to retrieving your online credentials should you forget your username or password.
• Review your name in the Contact Information box to the left of the My Institution box. Please contact the AAS membership team if you need to update your last name (you can change your first name online but not your last name).
• Like last year, we will print pronouns in the new directory. Please indicate your Pronouns in the Demographic Information box.

The final step: review your mailing and directory listing options on your My Preferences tab. Don’t wish to receive the print directory in the mail? Make your edit in the Mailed Print Items section. Don’t care to be listed in the print directory? See AAS Directory Listings: include my name in the… section to change your preference. Be sure to click on the pencil icon and save your changes.
